This tour is a behemoth. It's the biggest author tour Simon & Schuster have ever run. It's across all of Australia except NT (sorry Territorians, I'll be making my way to you next year). We're sitting at around 34 events, in conversation with legendary Australians like Richard Morecroft, Leigh Sales, Yael Stone, Hugh VanCuylenberg, Clare Bowditch, Holly Wainwright, Jacinta Parsons, Steven Lang, Sophie Longden, Sonya Feldhoff, Susan Johnson, Caroline Baum and Dr Kate Grarock. Most of the events have booked out, but we're adding new ones where we can, so stay tuned, and check out the tour event link for the most up to date information about what's on. If you were at the Bondi Book launch, here are the links to the photographs from wonderful Dani Macedo. Please credit her if you share them. Gina makes a stand for connection. To help engender this, at the end of every book launch event, the audience gets invited to sing a West African call and response song, in three part harmony. Just because.
This one is from the Canberra launch in conversation with Dr Kate Grarock. Everyone can sing. It's our birthright. Who cares it the notes are right or wrong? It's the singing in a group that matters, remembering the wisdom in our hunter gatherer DNA, where our village is our pack. |
